The
Allergy Center at Brookstone strives to
render personalized, comprehensive diagnosis
and treatment for patients suffering from allergic disorders.
Consultation
Your
doctor can get some insight into your allergies based on
your family and personal medical records, and by asking
questions
to find out what potential allergens with
which you may have come into contact.
Any records from previous tests or testing
should be requested before your first visit.
Diagnosis
Based on the results
of your interview and
our experience diagnosing allergies in the
East Central Georgia area, we will schedule special tests for the suspected
allergens in
your individual case.
Treatment
The first step of allergy management is to
remove the cause from the affected person’s
environment. If avoidance measures cannot
be implemented, you may need to use
preventer and reliever medication. If necessary, desensitization injections are used to induce allergen tolerance and to reduce the intensity
of the allergic reaction.
